Those lucky enough not to hold a show court ticket.....
2014. The Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Every day for two weeks each year thousands of tennis fans queue to acquire a Ground Pass. This Pass gives the holder access to the outside courts but not to the show courts. In this conceptual body of work I was trying to recreate moments that I remembered when I visited the Championships as a ten year old with my father holding my very own Ground Pass.
This work was awarded the first place prize in the Sports Stories category at the 2015 World Press Photo.
